2. Early Life and Beginning of the Career
Sridevi was born on August 13, 1963 in Tamil Nadu, India to Ayyapan and Rajeswari. She has a sister and two stepbrothers. Sridevi started her acting career at the age of four appearing in 1967 movie “Kandan Karunai”. Four years later, she starred in movie Poompatta and won her first Kerala State Film Award for Best Child Artist.
As a child actress, she has appeared in movies like Nam Naadu, Prarthanai, Babu, Badi Panthulu, Bala Bharatam, Vasantha Maaligai and Bhakta Kumbara. 5. She died due to Heart attack.
On February 24, 2018 Sridevi died after suffering a massive cardiac arrest in Dubai. According to sources, she died late Saturday night after suffering a heart attack in Dubai where she was attending a family wedding. Several high profile bollywood stars have expressed their condolences saying “A dark day in Cinema Industry”.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi sent condolences to Sridevi’s family saying he was saddened by her untimely demise.
