Donte DiVincenzo is an American college basketball player who plays for the Villanova Wildcats. He is best known for winning championships with Villanova in 2016 and 2018.
DiVincenzo was born on January 31, 1997 in Newark, Delaware to John F. and Kathie DiVincenzo. He also has one older brother named John A. DiVincenzo. He attended Salesianum School where he led his team to consecutive state championship. In his junior year, he averaged 15.8 points, 4.7 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game and played AAU basketball for Team Final.
DiVincenzo wwho was named Delaware Sportswriters and Broadcasters Association’s Boys Basketball Player of the year in 2015 averaged 22.9 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists per game as a senior.
On his freshman year, he appeared in only eight games for Villanova. Next season, he averaged 8.8 points and 3.8 rebounds per game. On March 9, 2017, he had season high 25 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in a rematch win over St. John’s. He was named to the Big East All-Freshman teal and Philadelphia Big Five Rookie of the year. In the Elite Eight of the 2018 NCAA Tournament, he had 12 points and eight rebounds in a 71-59 win over Texas Tech.
