Mary Blackshear Sessions is the wife of former Alabama Senator and Attorney General Jeff Sessions. Jeff and Mary Blackshear have been together for more than 2 decades.

Mary Blackshear Sessions was born in Montgomery, Alabama and was raised in Gadsden. She is currently 70 years of age and like her husband, she is also a Republican. She attended Huntingdon College in 1965 and participated in Huntingdon Christian Council, Westminster Fellowship, Social Standards Board, Young Republicans and the International Club.

Mary is also a teacher. She taught in Tuscaloosa Reform and Montgomery Schools while Jeff was pursuing his law degree. According to Newsweek, she currently teaches Sunday School at the Ashland Place United Methodist Church.

Mary is also active in philanthropic activities. She is the member of non-profit organization CHERUBS, also known as Association of Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia Research, Awareness and Support. The organization supports children born with congenital diaphragmatic hernia. She is also the member of Advisory Committee of Congressional Families Cancer Prevention.
